About Sayomaki Studios

It all started when…

Sayomaki studios was born out of a passion and ambition to carve my own path within the music industry and help up-and-coming artists find their sound and place in this business. It began when I sat down at a drum kit at the age of 13 and said to myself, "Well, this what I want to do from now on." I have played in several bands since then and learned to play multiple instruments. Having studied music performance at college, I realised that it wasn't exactly the direction I wanted to move in, so I took some time to really think about my musical future.

“Great production quality, with fantastic customer service and a keen ear for detail”

— Nathan Keighley

I made the decision to go and study music production at university after working for a couple of years. my love for the intricacies of writing and recording music moved me in that direction and since then I've pushed myself to make music production my career.

“James is one of the best music producers I've worked with. Timely and highly professional, I will definitely be working with the Hampshire based studio again.”

— Mike Wall

Since then I have worked with Christie Wood-hopps on the soundtrack to her short film The Forest, providing a range of music for the film. I collaborated with Cameron Dawkins to create an opening piece of music for his podcast. Both of these projects were bespoke and I made sure they were tailored to the needs of each of the clients. Between those I have been polishing my skills by doing pre-production and mixing music for friends and writing compositions in a variety of genres. If you want to check out any of these projects or any of my other work please head over to my media tab. I look forwards to working with you soon.
